Subjectivity and Identity

Subjectivity refers to a person's perspective or opinion, particular feelings, beliefs, and desires. It is often used to refer to unsubstantiated personal opinions, in contrast to knowledge and fact-based beliefs.

The project will involve the creation and mounting of three 8.5x11 in prints.

Each document must be made of 2 or more images.

  • Image 1 needs to have your likeness in it.
  • Image 2 can not have your likeness in it.
  • Image 3 must have text in it.

Two of the images must contain scanned material.

The images do not have to be conceptually related, but you need to be able to talk about each image from a conceptual viewpoint for critique.

Your source material must be either images you have made, or found images you have scanned in. NO IMAGES FROM THE WEB!

Books

I did find out that all the computers now have Photoshop CS5 on them.  That means the ideal text is Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book CS5 (great deal $32 HERE ), but the CS4 or even CS3 version will be fine.

Digital Art is the historical overview, and is not required.
